Some of you will know there was already a party. It was a really lovely surprise and I genuinely wouldn't change a thing about it. I've just always wanted to do a birthday celebration where the weather might actually be on our side.
If you're unlucky enough to have a birthday in the deep of winter, you'll know exactly what I mean. Summer birthday lot: you don't know when you were born.
I have a lot of love for the Barge Inn, it's a special place where I've celebrated a lot of very important moments, so it feels only right to return for this one. Right now I'm largely getting a vague idea of numbers and seeing who's up for coming along, helping me organise or playing some music etc., so fill in the form to let me know.
A canal-side pub built in 1810, deep in the Vale of Pewsey. It sits on the Duke's Ley Line running between Avebury and Stonehenge, with the Alton Barnes White Horse cut into the hill directly opposite and Adam's Grave long barrow on the ridge above. The crop circle room inside has a painted ceiling described as the Sistine Chapel of Wiltshire. There is nowhere quite like it.
I'd love it if you want to make it a joint celebration. I know a lot of people are turning 40 this year, but it definitely doesn't have to be limited to that. If you've got something worth celebrating, give me a shout and we can plan something fun together.
Buddy up!Here are some of the ways you could get stuck in. If any of it fits, drop it in the form or message me. More hands make it better.
This is a very rough idea right now. Lots of fun stuff still to be planned.
I'm still sorting out how tickets or contributions will work. It'll be very cheap. I'll keep everyone updated as the details come together.
The Barge Inn is at Honey Street, Pewsey, SN9 5PS, down a no-through road off the B3087. Satnav gets you there but the last stretch is a single-track lane, so take it steady.
SN9 5PS on the satnav, off the B3087. Parking on site.
Pewsey station is about 3 miles. Flag in the form if you need a lift coordinating.
It's right on the Kennet & Avon. If you have access to a boat, this is your moment.
There'll be lots of crossover in where people are coming from. Flag it in the form.
Yes, if they can deal with reprobates. You may want to camp separately as we'll be noisy.
Barbecue food and your shiniest clothes.
Yes, there's parking.
People can come for one, two, three, or even four nights. The main activities will be Friday through Sunday, and we'll watch some films on Sunday night, but I expect many will do Friday to Sunday and that's all good. The pub's ace, there's lots to do round there and the people are very friendly. I'll be staying Thursday to Monday.
I'm not sure just yet but it'll be a donation or won't break the bank.
Yes. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads at all times.

You can't book to be added to my party just yet, but when you book with the venue you can simply say "Danny's Party" and they'll put you in the right place.
You can make a provisional booking, but your camping pitch isn't guaranteed until payment is made in full within one hour of booking. All bookings are paid in full via the venue's online system (Anytime Booking). Bookings can be made up to one hour before arrival.
Glamping (Willow World bell tents, Main field bell tents, Gypsy Wagon): cancel at least 2 weeks in advance or a 50% deposit is deducted from the refund. Standard camping (Main field, Large field, EHU pitches): refunds only if cancelled at least 2 weeks before the booking. Refunds on the day are not available.
